Borisov Abandoned Babies Home

The abandoned Babies Home cares for children aged 3 months to 4 years who are orphaned or cannot be cared for by their families. The wonderful staff team led by Svetlana provided the greatest of care and love for the children. They have created a nurturing and loving environment in which the children thrive. We visit each time we go to Belarus and are able to purchase locally new shoes and tights (even for the boys), indoor and outdoor play equipment and imported fruit (which is too expensive for the home's budget). We have also sent out clothing through Samaritan's purse who have done considerable refurbishment at the orphanage and we have been able to help in a small way with this. Great news is that there is an increasing number of children being adopted as couples decide not to risk having children who may be affected by radiation.

This shows Vanya (nicknamed Tiger) with some fruit we bought. He has since been adopted by a couple whose little girl died from cancer. They came to the orphanage to adopt a little girl, but fell in love with Vanya.

Here is Sasha with Janet 4 months later and Sasha turns out to be a girl.
It was wonderful to see how much she had grown and blossomed in the 4 months
