The Borisov Invalid Society
was formed by Antonina to help the invalids of Borisov who are often isolated
and without employment. Antonina herself was disabled through polio and
has great difficulty moving around.
The Society renovates and distributes mobility aids, provides sewing and
knitting machines sent from Britain, provides materials and has a programme
for socialising to break down social isolation and loneliness. We have helped
by sending out craft materials, cloth, sewing and knitting machines and
funding social activities.
